The Initiators — Learn Smart ("we", "our", "the app") is an online learning platform for Karachi/Sindh Board, Federal Board, Aga Khan Board, O-Level, and IGCSE students. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

When you register and use the app, we collect:

• Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored securely, never in plain text)
• Contact information: your phone/WhatsApp number
• Academic information: your school name, education board, and class level, used to show you the right lectures, notes, and quizzes
• Profile information: an optional profile photo, bio, and city, if you choose to add them
• Payment information: the payment method you select and a screenshot you upload as proof of payment, used only to verify and approve your subscription. We do not collect or store your card numbers, bank passwords, or PINs — payments are made directly through JazzCash, Easypaisa, or your bank, outside the app
• Usage information: your quiz attempts and scores, lecture progress, and activity within the app, used to track your learning progress

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To show you lectures, notes, and quizzes relevant to your board and class
• To verify your payment and grant access to premium content for your subscription period
• To track your quiz results and learning progress
• To send you in-app notifications about your account, payments, and announcements
• To respond if you contact us with a question or problem

Who Can See Your Information

Your academic progress and payment details are visible to the app's administrators, who review and approve payments and manage the platform. We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not share it with advertisers or other third parties for marketing purposes.

Where Your Information Is Stored

Your account data is stored in a secure hosted database (Neon/PostgreSQL). Uploaded images, such as your profile photo and payment screenshots, are stored using Vercel Blob storage. Both providers are reputable infrastructure companies used by many apps; we do not operate our own physical servers.

Data Retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us using the details below and we will remove it, except where we're required to keep payment records for a reasonable period for accounting purposes. Children's Privacy

The app is intended for students preparing for Karachi/Sindh Board, Federal Board, Aga Khan Board, O-Level, and IGCSE examinations, generally aged 13 and above. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without appropriate parental consent, please contact us and we will remove it.

Your Choices

• You can update your profile information (name, phone, school, photo, bio, city) at any time from the Profile section of the app
• You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by contacting us

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
